Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer | Jon and Julia

Posted on September 10th, 2014

Each wedding this year has simply been amazing and every night I head home feeling incredibly blessed to be a part of these weddings. Jon and Julia’s Heinz Chapel wedding was no exception and went above and beyond. Their day was filled with faith and family and moments that were a privelege to capture on my camera to give back to them forever. There were personalized details showing off their strong Italian and Polish heritage like perogies and pastas for dinner, and DIY signs and details everywhere! But the best parts of this day were the emotions that showed throughout, from their first prayer together to the father-daughter dance during the reception. Jon and Julia, I was so excited to be part of your wedding day!

Just a few minutes after getting ready, Julia spent a few minutes alone with her parents for portraits and it became such an emotional special moment.

All the DIY signs around the reception. Jenna and I loved the sign we found in the bathroom so much that I had to take a picture!

For each dance, (mother and son, bride and groom, or father and daughter) Jon and Julia had the creative idea to invite their guests out on the floor part way through.

Someone tried to replace Jenna as my assitant for the night :-) The little ringbearer was so facinated that he could take pictures of “Aunt” Julia and followed me around most of the evening. After every shutter click he would yell “I take a picture!” and give me a high five.

Jon definitely photobombed our picture :-)

Schnoodleberry Farm Wedding | Chris and Christina

Posted on August 4th, 2014

I have been dying to share this wedding with you! This was one of my favorite days this summer and I just can’t stop talking about this wedding.

Chris and Christina are from two different states, met in college, and live in California, working in the film industry.  They were determined to find the perfect location for their wedding, so traveled back to Pittsburgh to get married at Schnoodleberry Farm in Butler.  I think they made a good choice :-)  Their entire wedding was full of DIY details, personal touches, sweet emotion, a little bit of superhero, and lots of love.  The day did not get started until after quite a few things going wrong and yet Chris and Christina just kept moving forward despite the obstacles and were supportive and positive and very much in love.  And their bridal party was a blast – my face hurt from laughing and smiling so much.  Enjoy a peak into this perfect, eclectic, whimsical wedding!

As part of their already unique wedding, Chris and Christina incorporated a Celtic tradition of hand-tying and “ring warming”.  The rings were tied to a cord that was passed along the guests during the beginning of the ceremony and each friend and family member had a chance to hold the rings and pray for the marriage they would represent.  At the end, Chris and Christina literally tied the knot in the same cord!

A Whirlwind Weekend

Posted on July 28th, 2014

Within the last 72 hours, I photographed 2 weddings, a maternity shoot and traveled over 600 miles! I was swept away by an amazing weekend of beauty and love, wedding dresses and baby bumps. I cannot WAIT to share all the photos from these sweet friends and clients I spent my weekend with. Enjoy a sneak peek for now!

Neil and Chelsea (a girl I knew since I was about 10) were married in an intimate wedding at home on the eastern side of Pennsylvania:
