This. This day and this wedding. Decorated with very personal DIY details, held on a farm in Punxsutawney, filled to the brim with laughter, and wrapped in prayer, this wedding was beautiful from start to finish and I was honored to be a part of it. I fell in love with marriage, faith, and photography all over again. And shooting in the rain. Because, did I mention it POURED? Plans had to change and things rearranged but as a result, the guests became so much more part of this at-home wedding and celebration. There are so many favorite images that I can’t fit them all into one post! You will just have to stop by again tomorrow to see more :-)
Madeline got ready in the house on the property, Jonathan’s grandparents’ home where he spent a lot of time as a kid.
The boys took the “getting ready” with a bit of humor.
Yes, Madeline was up for ANYTHING including wanting to climb into a field for the perfect shot! (She is a fellow wedding photographer and was as excited as I was about the perfect shots!) Can you believe this location? And the sky??
Jonathan and Madeline shared a “first prayer” instead of a first look, wrapped around the corner of his grandparents’ home.
Just after the prayer, the rain started in full force. The original plan to be married down by the pond had to change and everyone jumped into action to get the back-up location, the reception tent, ready for the ceremony. They started a chair brigade, passing the seating down the line and into the tent. M & J had already set up the tent just in case of rain and it was a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony!

Like I said, there are just so many wonderful moments from this wedding, I can’t fit it into one blog post! Check back tomorrow for more!
